A Full Time Community Development Officer

Role: Full-time, 3 year, fixed-term position

Reports: Directly to the CEO

 

The Role encompasses the following areas:

  • Growth – Developing relationships with schools, youth organisations & communities.
  • Evaluation – Monitoring and evaluating the impact of COP projects
  • Business development – Assisting in the day-to-day running of the CIC which encompasses administration, HR, communications & finance.
  • Delivery – Overseeing the delivery of COP projects.

 

To apply you need to be graduate calibre and have experience in sport, community or education development. 

You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of communities and young people. 

You have to be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 

Candidates must be able to demonstrate both team working and the ability to work unsupervised. 

It is essential to show you can persuasively communicate with others concisely to build and maintain effective relationships. 

You must be able to demonstrate you can complete work to a high standard and provide evidence of how you continually look for ways of improving and developing yourself and others.

You should be able to show evidence of good administrative skills and have working knowledge of all Microsoft office packages.

Experience working with budgeting and financial systems is advantageous but not essential.

You need to have a full current driving license and on occasion be able to work evenings and weekends.
